Delete Your Account
FoodCal AI • Account & Data Deletion
You can permanently delete your FoodCal AI account and all associated data at any time. There are two ways to do this — directly inside the app, or by sending us a request by email.
When you delete your account, your data is removed immediately and permanently. This action cannot be undone — there is no way to recover deleted data.
Method 1 — Delete inside the app (recommended)
- Open the FoodCal AI app and make sure you are signed in.
- Go to the Profile tab (bottom navigation).
- Scroll down to the Account section.
- Tap Delete account (shown in red).
- Read the confirmation, then tap Delete My Account to confirm.
Your account and data will be deleted right away and you will be returned to the sign-in screen.
Method 2 — Request deletion by email
If you can no longer access the app, send an email to foodcalai@yahoo.com from the email address associated with your account, with:
- Subject: Delete My Account
- Body: Your registered email address (so we can verify and locate your account)
We will verify your identity and delete your account and associated data. We aim to complete email requests promptly, and in all cases within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your account profile (name, email, profile details)
- All food scans and meal logs
- Water intake history
- Weight and goal history
- Workout records
- All app preferences and settings stored on your device
- Your authentication record
Photos you captured with the AI scanner are processed entirely on your device and are never uploaded to our servers, so there is nothing to delete there.
Data retention
Account deletion is processed immediately from our active databases. Any residual copies in routine system backups are overwritten within 30 days. We do not retain your personal data after deletion, except where retention is required for legitimate legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active Google Play subscription. To cancel a subscription, manage it in your Google Play account settings.
